I tried my first RPM rod over a year ago when I needed a good crankbait rod. The model I chose was the 7'6" medium action deep cranking rod. Immediately, I noticed a huge difference in the distance I was achieving on each cast. This rod is designed in such a way as to give the angler maximum distance on each cast, which is essential to those tossing deep cranks to ledges. I also purchase my first XRod last year. Immediately I noticed superior sensibility. I could easily identify bottom content and structure, as well as feel even the softest of bites. I also own a Loomis GLX and the XRod was just as, if not more sensitive, and for about half of what you would pay for a Loomis. I've been sold ever since. Along with several of my fishing buddies, as I need to replace my rods, I can guarantee, all you will see on the deck of my boat will be RPM Custom Rods and RPM XRods.

My name is Tommy Law and I am a professional guide on Falcon Lake in Zapata, Tx. I have been fishing Falcon since 1971 and have caught many fish over 10 lbs. I have always had trouble with a rod being strong enough to handle these tough fish in heavy cover. I started using nothing but RPM rods because they have proven to hold up better than any rod I have ever used before. We, my son Geoffrey and I, met Rick at the Elite Series event in Leesburg Florida last spring. We stopped by the RPM booth in the vendors area to look at the RPM rods. I was impressed by the light feel and the quality of the components.  I purchased a 7'-6" MH flipping rod. I was not disappointed, these rods perform great, and are light and very sensitive. We have since switch over to RPM rods. The technique specific designs are right on the money. Great product Rick!

After winning a collegiate event on Clarks Hill Lake in Georgia, I received an elite series marshal spot of my choosing. I chose Kentucky Lake because it was close to home and I knew it was going to be a slug fest. On day one I was fortunate enough to draw Rick Morris and wow want an experience. While on the water Rick introduced me to his custom rods and X rods. That day Rick caught 26 pounds using a 7”11 MH cranking rod and made me a believer. His rods allowed him to cast an extreme distance which was a major key to his success. 2009 Tournament Trails: BASS Southern Opens, Bassmaster Weekend Series, American Bass Anglers, Bass Fishing League (BFL)

In 2008 I purchased 2 RPM Custom Series spinning rods and 2 Custom Series casting rods. Right away I was blown away with the increased sensitivity while Texas rigging plastics, jigging and my favorite technique Carolina rigging. I immediately noticed a better hook-up ratio while Carolina rigging with the RMC 7’6” Medium Heavy Magnum Cranking Special. I directly attribute the increased hook-up ratio to the increased sensitivity I was getting with this rod. Rick had told me I would be impressed with the increased casting distance I would get with the RMC 7’ 11” Medium Magnum Cranking Special and he was not kidding. In early 2009 I added several X Series Rods to my arsenal and man are these rods impressive when it comes to sensitivity, comfort and light weight. I know from talking to Rick, his goal was to design “American Made” technique specific, high modulus rods made with high quality materials and priced considerably lower than the price charged by the big name manufactures of similar or less quality rods. He is definitely achieving his goal. I am now using Ricks RPM Custom and X Series rods exclusively. Give these rods an opportunity and I guarantee you won’t be sorry.

Recently I found myself paired with Famed Bass Pro Jeff Kriet on Lake Fork reservoir in Texas competing in the Historic Toyota Bass Classic. The event was to be an event for the ages. The record poundage’s of bass caught took everyone by surprise. On this day Kriet was on his game and throwing his usual pegged worms , I was telling Jeff that on this lake there is virtually no one who will be throwing top water. I also shared that my good friend and all star Bass fisherman and rod builder Rick Morris had shipped me a couple of his RPM rods to use. It was like magic I pulled one of Rick’s rods out of the box and started to throw behind Jeff when all of a sudden I hooked and landed a 6.6 and then while the camera was running I told Jeff slow down I see a ripple behind my bait. He took his foot off the trolling motor and Gene Guillard ( legendary Oklahoma Bass Biologist and sports writer) started clicking the camera as if there really was a big fish under the bait.. Let me tell ya there was a battle royale that ensued, the big fish wrapped me around numerous trees and stumps and within what seemed liked and hour the New RPM rod that Morris had touted as being the best on tour delivered, it bent, I deftly reared back and stuck the butt of the rod in my gut. The prize was near and for a moment I lost my senses and thought of swinging the big girl in the boat. Kriet ended that thought with a “Let’s not get fancy” command and the next thing I knew the RPM ROD relaxed and the 10.6 Bucket mouth was in the net.

I am convinced the RPM rod played a huge role in this monster catch... From that moment on I have chosen to trust Rick Morris rod building prowess. Oh by the way last week I caught an 7.35 lb smallie on LAKE ERIE WITH RICKS new Lake Erie special Tube rod. Need I say more?
